Financial Assistance

The Brownstone School uses School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial assistance applications. Based on the financial information you provide in the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), SSS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. This estimate is a starting point to help us make fair and objective financial assistance decisions.  SSS maintains a website with many resources for parents including information regarding the financial assistance application process. Many families mistakenly believe that they will not qualify for financial assistance. There is no specific income level at which a family will be eligible for financial assistance and financial assistance decisions are based on many factors.

Applicants Families

All information must be complete before requests can be considered. Admissions decisions are made independently of financial assistance decisions. However, both notices will be sent on the ISAAGNY notification date. Financial assistance is awarded for one year. Once admitted to the school, families seeking financial assistance must re-apply the following year.

Current Families

The school recognizes that financial circumstances can change from year to year, so we encourage families currently enrolled to inquire about financial assistance if their employment status or other factors have affected their ability to finance their child's education. Current families who are applying for financial assistance must complete their application by November 30th.  This allows the Financial Assistance Committee to review applications before re-enrollment contracts are issued in January.
