Welcome to The Brownstone School 60th year! At Brownstone, our teachers are passionate about working with young children. During these pivotal years of development, laying the foundation and framework for children as they move forward in life, is paramount. Our teachers thoroughly enjoy watching young children explore materials; their “work” is magical. Additionally, their language is exploding during these years, watching them interact with one another and make sense of the world around them is fascinating.
Our approach to learning is play-based. We believe that play is integral and necessary for a child's overall development. Through play, children learn how to self-regulate, read and respond to social cues, and exercise their bodies and minds.
The Brownstone School has been built on community. It is a warm and welcoming place where children are viewed as competent and capable and what is best for the families is at the forefront of everything we do. The Brownstone School is a nurturing environment where children are given opportunities to grow and become passionate about learning in a safe and secure place. We value parent participation and partnering with parents is vital in running our programs.
